Tiger Group and Southern Fabricating Machinery Sales will hold an online auction on August 9 to sell CNC machines from Hurco and Fadal, EDM machines from Xermax and Elox, as well as shop equipment and rolling stock.

PORT HURON, Mich., Aug. 2, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- CNC machine tool manufacturers and other buyers will find a wide variety of machinery and equipment at an online auction on Aug. 9 from Tiger Group and Southern Fabricating Machinery Sales.

The assets, some as young as 10 years old, are used by Built Rite Tool & Engineering in Port Huron, a family-owned mechanical engineering business that specializes in tool design, engineering and manufacturing.

“With over 60 years of experience in mold making, Rick Smith and his son Scott of Built Rite are closing the company and retiring,” explained Wayne Hecht, CAI, GPPA, director of operations for Tiger Commercial and Industrial. “Their work focused primarily on making aluminum molds for the plastics industry. Since these machines were never used to cut steel, only much softer aluminum, they are in excellent condition.”

This limited-time online auction ends at 10:30 AM ET on Tuesday, August 9th. Bidding opens on Tuesday, August 2nd at SoldTiger.com.

Machines for sale include a Hurco VMX64i CNC machine, which rolled off the assembly line in 2015, and a Hurco VM20, which rolled off the assembly line in 2014.

“These aren’t the only new models,” Hecht said. “For example, the Ford F-150 that’s on sale now was released in 2017.”

In addition to mechanical vices, floor fans, workbenches, trolleys and strapping machines, workshop equipment includes:

Other rolling stock includes a 2001 Ford F-450 flatbed truck and a 5,500-pound Hyster LPG-powered forklift.

“In a time of high new equipment prices and long supply chain delays, this sale provides a great opportunity for the buyer to acquire an asset on the used market,” Hecht said. “Built Rite is a well-equipped shop run by seasoned machinist veterans who take great care of their tools.”

Tours of the facility will be by appointment only on Monday, August 8. To schedule a tour or for more information, email [email protected] or call (805) 497-4999.
